Two decades of impact
This is a birthday worth celebrating! In our first 20 years, Blue Dragon has:
Rescued 1,500+ people from slavery in six different countries across Southeast Asia.
Changed 3 national laws to protect children and adults in Vietnam.
Given 6,700+ children and young adults access to school, vocational training and tertiary education.
Attained justice in court for 265 people and put hundreds of human traffickers behind bars.
Set up trafficking prevention systems that are keeping 19,000+ people safe from exploitation and harm.
Hundreds of stories to share
Twenty years of helping children turn their lives around and rescuing people from slavery has been a long journey. It certainly hasn’t all been joy and happiness along the way.
Our birthday is a moment to reflect on what we’ve learned, how far we’ve come… and where we are going next.

I often wonder what my life would be like if I hadn’t met you. Where would I sleep? Would I still be selling postcards on the streets? Thank you for giving me a cosy home and helping me pursue my dream of becoming a chef.
Instead of pitying me, you asked me what I wanted and taught me the skills I needed to achieve my goals. It was the first time someone listened to me and gave me the support I really needed to stand on my own two feet.
If it hadn’t been for your support, I might have ended up trapped in a factory in China. When I have a more stable income, I would like to give back to less fortunate people.

None of this would be possible without the Blue Dragon friends around the world who donate, walk, bake, run quizzes, fundraise, swim and go above and beyond for children and families in Vietnam. Thank you!
Reading the stories of the children that Blue Dragon has rescued instills a deep sense of pride that our donations are helping change the lives of these children and young women, and give them hope for a better future.
