This weekend I’m taking a break from writing the blog… but don’t despair!
First: in case you missed it, during the week Blue Dragon shared online a summary of how we responded to the coronavirus pandemic when it hit Vietnam and led to a 3-week lockdown. That’s followed up with an outline of what we’re working on now: how we are still dealing with emergencies while also starting to help children and communities rebuild in the wake of the crisis.
Any reader of this blog will be interested to see Blue Dragon’s blueprint for the coming months.
Second: on Wednesday June 3 I’ll be on a Zoom call for a public discussion about how coronavirus has impacted children here in Vietnam.
I will be sharing stories and updates about both human trafficking and street kids, from 9am Vietnam time. That’s (Tuesday) evening in the US, and midday / early afternoon in Australia and New Zealand.
To join in, just register here.
And of course, the blog will be back next week!
Right now, Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation is holding an Emergency Appeal. We are asking for donations to deliver immediate aid and to protect children and families from exploitation. If you can, please consider donating to this important cause.
