How can I create my fundraising page?
Step 1: Click on “Create your fundraising page”.
Step 2: Fill in the required information.
- Your email address
- Fundraiser page name.
Tips:
The length of your fundraiser page name should be between 5-10 words.
Be sure to reference your cause in the name. For example: Run for Blue Dragon, or Cycle for kids in crisis.
- Select your event type.
Tip: If your event type is not listed, select “Other” and tell us more about your activity!
- Upload your cover photo. Make sure it’s maximum 600 by 400 pixels.
- Add a video if you’d like.
Tips: A video of yourself telling your friends and family about your passionate effort to make a difference and invite them to join will be great fun! Or you can find some videos about Blue Dragon here.
- Set your deadline and goal.
Tip: You can select the currency from the drop-down list.
- Write something about your brilliant effort!
Tip: It’s great to share what inspired you to raise funds and why Blue Dragon is close to your heart. Don’t be shy!
- Click “Create Page”.
Step 3: Now you are ready to fundraise!
Can I create a fundraising event with multiple participants?
On Blue Dragon’s site, each person needs to create their own event; we don’t have the option to create a team event with more than one person taking part. But you can still cooperate with your friends on promoting your events, and compete to see who gets the best results!
What if I have trouble logging into my account?
You can log into your account with your email address and password.
This service is geographically based, so make sure you have the right URL to login. Find the options below.

How do I ask people to donate?
Share your event on social media and through email. Make sure you speak personally – tell your friends WHY you are fundraising. People will chip in because this cause is important to you. Start with people you know: your friends, your workmates, your community.
How do I know if someone donates for my fundraiser?
- Your supporters will appear on the fundraiser page under the Honor List.
- You will receive an email to notify you about a new donation.
People love to hear from you once they make a donation to show their support. Reach out to them on social media, send them a thank you text and send them some love! Your supporters are super awesome like YOU!
Should I donate to myself?
Donating to yourself is a great way to get started. It will show donors that you’re committed, and you’ve broken the ice by going first. On your fundraising page just contribute like an external user to chip in to your campaign.
Someone gave me cash, what do I do?
Send the donation to Blue Dragon with a note, letting us know your supporters’ name and email. We will manually update the contribution on your fundraising page.
Are donations tax deductible?
Donations to Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation are tax deductible for residents of Australia, the United States of America and eligible for Gift Aid for residents of the United Kingdom. Your supporters will automatically receive a tax receipt after making a donation to your fundraiser if they are from those countries.
Is it possible to get the list of supporters for my fundraiser when it is finished?
Yes, we will be able to send you the list of your wonderful supporters with their consent once the event is finished!
How do I delete my fundraiser page?
If you have created a page by accident, or if you would like to remove your page from the site, you can cancel it at any time.
- Log into your account.
- Click on “My Fundraisers”.
- On the right hand side of your page, you can click “Cancel”, choose “Yes” to delete.
