What’s the difference between a good touch and a bad touch? This was one of many questions raised in the 10 child rights workshops organised by Blue Dragon in central Vietnam. The workshops helped children and parents understand child rights, both internationally and in Vietnam. The section on child abuse was especially relevant due to recent coverage of abused children in the news. Parents were given useful knowledge in how to protect their children. The kids were told about the ‘Hand Rules’, and what is acceptable behaviour from strangers and others.
The Blue Dragon team also took the opportunity to talk about child trafficking. Knowledge is power, so hopefully, over 300 kids will now be more confident about their rights.
