A great new year for 3 trafficking victims

December 31, 2016
‘Thao’, ‘Mai’ and ‘Le’ will always remember the last hours of 2016. They were rescued by the Blue Dragon team, and just crossed the border between China and Vietnam. All were trafficked for forced marriages. Le was just 15 at the time. She had followed her friends who told her that they could do some small business at the border. Coming from a very poor family, she thought that she could help her parents out this way. Instead, she was sold for nearly USD10,000. A relative threatened to kill the family if they reported her missing to the police. They suspect he was involved with her trafficking.
All three are now safe and under the care of Blue Dragon. Their family reunion will be a great start to 2017.
