Children without papers are much easier to traffick, so Blue Dragon has organised another legal registration drive in the middle region of Vietnam. It’s an important anti-trafficking strategy. On a personal level, it can mean that children are now able to take their high school exams. Parents can buy a train ticket to visit their grown-up children in another province. The elderly can receive a government pension. Entire families can access public health care. In the words of Huong in Grade 10 – “I am so happy I have my papers now! It means I can graduate high school.”
