Another parents group formed for kids with disabilities

May 10, 2017
It is not often that parents have time to play with kids, especially those who are a little older. It is especially true for parents of kids with disabilities coming from very poor backgrounds. Blue Dragon organised a special training session for these parents and kids recently with the assistance of Akari, a specialist centre.
The parents had a chance to talk about their concerns and challenges. It was a great meeting because they decided to form a support group. They will meet once a month and have identified the topics which they want to cover. It includes helping their intellectually disabled children to learn how to be more independent at home. Like most parents, they find it a challenge to get their kids to make their beds!
Blue Dragon will support the group financially to run these activities.
