Have you ever wanted to know more about human trafficking? What are the most common routes? What country are the victims from?
Blue Dragon has been working with Freedom Collaborative and 39 other organisations around the world to build an interactive mapping tool that plots human trafficking routes around the globe.
The map shows the main source, destination and transit countries for trafficking victims which allows investigators to visualise, track and analyse trends in trafficking routes globally.
This tool is important for organisations around the world working to end human trafficking, as it gives them the means to prioritise resources and identify gaps in prevention and protection strategies.
The map will develop over time, and additional evidence will be collected to include information on the type of exploitation and the number of cases.
This will grow to be a hugely valuable tool not only for organisations like Blue Dragon, but for anyone who is interested in learning more about the location and journeys of trafficking victims and understanding the scope of the global issue.
