Learning About Reproductive Health Care

“Shy” and “Embarrassed” are two words which described the feelings of Blue Dragon’s kids when they first stepped into the Green Apple workshop. 15 kids between the ages of 10 to 16 had an interesting introduction to how their sexual reproductive system works. Green Apple is the name of the workshop to be held on a weekly basis over the summer to help the kids understand the physical changes they will experience with puberty, and how they can take care of themselves. What was their reaction at the end of the first session? Mai, 11, sums it up when she said “I feel more comfortable to talk about this topic now because I had lots of fun in the workshop. I know how important it is to understand my body.”
