When 24 parents from poor households were asked by Blue Dragon what their dreams are, only 1 mentioned going on holiday. Everybody else dreamt about a better future for their children. Madam Hien was stunned by the question. In all her 52 years, not a single person had asked her what her dream is.
The Money Minded workshop showed them how to save and plan their finances better to realise their dreams. It’s a practical way to give them skills to manage their small loans which they had taken to run an enterprise like rearing chickens. Blue Dragon wants them to succeed so they can have a path out of poverty, so their children can dream bigger.
