New Shelter to be built

December 20, 2016
It will be the first shelter for trafficking survivors to be built in Central Vietnam. The British Ambassador and Founder of Blue Dragon were present at the ground breaking ceremony recently together with Vietnamese government officials.
Funded by the British government, the Shelter will provide accommodation for up to 48 survivors in a province which has a very high rate of trafficking. The Blue Dragon team will provide training to government staff on best practice for dealing with trafficking survivors and child protection. This means that once the centre is open, it will be ready to receive survivors.
While efforts are being made to prevent trafficking, these shelters are necessary to help survivors reintegrate back into their communities.
