Summer trip for survivors of trafficking

July 5, 2017
It was a time to heal and form friendships. 18 trafficking survivors who were rescued by Blue Dragon spent 3 days on the coast in northern Vietnam. It was a summer treat for the girls who had only known terror and darkness in their days as forced brides or brothel workers in China.
For some of them, it was the first time they had seen the sea. They were amazed by how large the sea is! They had fun swimming and took part in an impromptu evening fashion show. They made interesting garments out of paper and modelled them to great laughter.
They left with amazing memories. Blue Dragon will continue to walk hand in hand with them as they continue their journey to leave their past behind.
