Inspired by their own experience of being helped by Blue Dragon’s social workers, many teens in our care have expressed an interest in becoming a social worker so that they can help others.
Last Sunday, 13 girls and boys at Blue Dragon were excited to take part in the first session of this year’s Youth Social Work course, taught by our own social workers. During the 8-week training, they will learn about basic social work skills and practice them at shelters and in community activities at Blue Dragon.
It is wonderful to see those who have experienced their own trials and hardships now doing what they can to help others in need. If only we all did our bit to help, our world would be such a better place!
