Trafficking attempt foiled

May 5, 2016
Two ethnic minority girls, aged 15 and 16, have just been rescued from a trafficking attempt by Blue Dragon and the Vietnamese police. They thought they were going on an exciting outing paid for by their new ‘friend’ who had instructed them to get on a bus to the border. The ‘friend’ is a known trafficker, and when the police and Blue Dragon got wind of this, we rushed to the border. The girls were stopped before they crossed the border, and they had no idea why they were not allowed to go to China! Blue Dragon escorted them home, and advised them against listening to “nice and generous friends” (words the girls had used to describe their trafficker).
