Trafficking survivor starts school

September 15, 2016

When you’re 14, starting a new school year should be a breeze – meeting friends after the summer holidays, and catching up on all the gossip. However, if you’ve been trafficked and sold to a brothel, going back to school is difficult (‘Thao’s’ rescue story can be found here: Thao did not want to go back to school but was encouraged by Blue Dragon’s staff to do so. She finally agreed to put on her uniform. Blue Dragon is happy to report that Thao is happy that she did so. She’s good in her studies, and her teachers are encouraging her to stay in school. We look forward to updating you on her progress.
