The Blue Dragon legal trainer noted at a recent workshop that it takes “good skills and good hearts” to combat human trafficking. The workshop aimed to provide the skills, and the police officers there demonstrated their commitment. In fact, police officer ‘Van’ had walked for 4 hours along desolate mountain paths to get to a road where he could then catch the bus to the workshop 150kms away. Together with 39 other police officers, he spent 3 days understanding his role in anti-trafficking initiatives. At the end of the workshop, Van said “What I learnt will not stay in this room. I will take it back to my village.”
