Workshop on Conflict Resolution for Trafficking Survivors

February 10, 2017
Do you throw the baby out with the bathwater? The facilitator asked this, and many other questions, at a special workshop on dealing with conflict. It was held for 12 survivors of trafficking to China. The girls are aged between 15 and 20 years old, and have all undergone major trauma. Most live together in Rosie and Daisy House under the care of Blue Dragon.
They learnt skills of understanding what conflict means, and how they can resolve it constructively. Role playing was very effective in getting them to understand how to make decisions, and to consider all options and consequences. This workshop is part of the on-going effort to teach life skills to the survivors.
