Life on the streets is dangerous. In Vietnam, street kids are typically children who have come to the city from rural areas to escape extreme hardship.
Instead, many end up lost and alone with no food or shelter, making them vulnerable to abuse, human trafficking and exploitation.
Blue Dragon is here for them. In Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City we provide emergency help to street children and homeless families and give them the support they need to grow, thrive, and create a bright future.
What we do
Blue Dragon takes a holistic approach to protecting street kids and getting them to safety.
Shelter
Providing emergency shelter and long-term accommodation options.
Children's Centre
Giving kids a place to play, learn, join activities and meet social workers.
Reunion
Bringing runaways home and working with families to ensure children are safe.
Nutrition
Providing a healthy and nutritious lunchtime meal, sustenance at our shelters and school lunches.
Social work
Individual case work with children and families to provide for education, employment, and psychological and physical wellbeing.
Legal support
Supporting children through the court system, at the police station and to obtain birth certificates and legal documents.
Transition
Providing older teenagers and young adults with safe, supported accommodation and preparing them for independent living in the future.
Education and training
Getting kids back to education or training as soon as possible; providing individual tutoring, study groups and workshops.
Blue Dragon works day and night on the streets, offering assistance to children and families.
