Blue Dragon on the front lines
Children and community members living in poverty leave home to search for opportunities. In doing so, they become targets for traffickers who sell them into slavery for forced labour, sexual slavery and forced marriages.
Young people fleeing abuse, neglect and poverty become homeless in Vietnam’s major cities. Sleeping in parks and hidden spaces, they struggle to survive and are highly vulnerable to exploitation.
We take a “whole-stream approach”
We begin by helping children in immediate need, then use what we learn to improve the systems and laws that impact all people.
Downstream, we provide urgent protection to children, families and communities directly while addressing people’s vulnerabilities.
Upstream, we work alongside local leaders and government agencies to embed our work within national systems.
