Forced criminality report: Scamming to survive

Forced scamming, a violent form of exploitation that entails the trafficking of individuals to force them to conduct lucrative criminal activities online, has increased exponentially across Southeast Asia – and beyond – in recent years.

The report analysed 21 forced criminality cases tried in the Vietnamese courts involving 130 victims and 43 traffickers, shedding light on the complexities of this form of exploitation in Vietnam.
