An interview with Chris Cunningham – he participated in Rally Indochina in 2011. He will join this year’s rally with his wife, Mil Clayton.
1.Why are you taking part in Rally Indochina this year after your participation in Rally 2011?
I loved touring Vietnam and have so many great memories of the 2011 Rally Indochina. When I became aware that the Rally was going to take a different path this year, I knew it was time to go back for another tour.
2. What are you looking forward to experience?
I can’t wait to catch up with some of the great people I met on the first Rally – one couple have since toured other countries with us and attended our wedding! Riding the Ural motorcycles was awesome and it will be great to sample more great Vietnamese scenery and food.
3. Why do you think it is important to support anti-trafficking work?
I am fortunate to live in a country where children are mostly safe and loved. It was so eye opening to see what some children experience, and as a parent I can’t even begin to imagine if those things were happening to my children.
4. Mil and you have supported Blue Dragon by giving monthly donations since 2013. What motivates you to give on a monthly basis?
After seeing the good work that Blue Dragon are doing for the kids, putting a small amount of money towards it just seemed like the nice thing to do. I really enjoy the emails that they send me, keeping me in touch with the achievements and progress that are being made by Blue Dragon.
