September Media Roundup
It’s been a busy month at Blue Dragon.
With The Blue Dragon Walk and our expansion to Ho Chi Minh City all taking place amidst the devastation of Typhoon Yagi, there has been a lot for us to talk about across different media outlets.
Here’s a roundup of what’s been happening and where you can listen to some of the most notable media appearances from this September.
co-CEO Skye Maconachie on Vietnam Weekly
Between scrubbing the mud off of people’s homes and coordinating our relief effort from the field, Skye joined Mike Tatarski on The Vietnam Weekly Podcast.
In this brief but lively conversation, Skye discusses Blue Dragon’s immediate response to the devastation brought by Typhoon Yagi. She touches on the needs of people affected by the storm in both Hanoi and the northern mountains before explaining the importance of long-term support.
co-CEO Vi Do on the Cay Nen Song Xanh Talkshow (Vietnamese)
In August, Vi joined the Cay Nen Song Xanh talkshow to chat about his journey from street kid to CEO. He goes into detail about the joys of helping street kids like himself, and our mission to end human trafficking for good.
Founder Michael Brosowski on comedian Claire Hooper’s I’m the Worst podcast.
According to Michael, his appearance on this well-known comedy podcast is “Rather different to most of my interviews and definitely worth listening to.”
Claire’s style is to take her interviewees to task over things they regret doing. Michael has great fun recounting stories from the early days of Blue Dragon, and talks about the important role of humour amid the seriousness of our work.
