Meeting for parents of kids with disabilities

November 22, 2016

Cooking rice using an electric rice cooker is probably one of the easiest things to do. However, for a disabled child, it could be one of the most challenging tasks to master. A group of 30 parents of children with disabilities gathered recently to share experiences. They talked about growing of crops, and how they sometimes have to leave their child at home to cook rice. They were also introduced to the new Disabilities Coordinator of Blue Dragon who will help to coordinate training sessions on such topics as self-care skills for kids with disabilities, and how to spot the signs when their child has been sexually abused. The parents were happy that they could give each other moral support as it is challenging to care for a child with disability.
